This key artwork for the message series Climate Change turned out to be much different than we (or at least I) had originally anticipated, but I am actually quite pleased with where we landed. This was a great tag team effort accomplished with Taylor Cox. This is a visual testament that what I could accomplish alone pales in comparison to what can be done with the expertise and insight from others.

Taylor knocked out the majority of this in Cinema4D and then brought his renders into Photoshop where he set the scene. My role was to come in toward the end by knocking out some of the nitty-gritty details to take it to the finish line. All in all I think it turned out great.

Through the process this one started to make me nervous because it was getting farther and farther away from a logo and more toward artwork. Although it turned out well this time around and I was still able to turn it into a simplified one color logo, it always makes me hesitant at first to get too far down this road of making the type so detailed it could risk not scaling well or be unintentionally limit the design-ability of our plethora of needed sizes for a given series. This one danced with that line, but turned out great in the end.

I couldn’t have done it on my own, and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of this project with the ever amazing Taylor Cox.
